Disney Land Paris!!!

We have all heard the saying that Disney Land is the happiest place on earth and I would have to agree! Having only gone to one other Disney Park when I was very little this was a very new experience for me. Yes, I have been to amusement parks before but nothing can compare to Disney!

As I walked off of the Metro I was filled with this overwhelming excitement. The little girl inside me started to climb to the surface singing "In Summer" from Frozen!

Walking in was like waking up on Christmas morning! You could hear the gasps from the crowd around. You can not help but smile when you see a little girl dressed up as a princess jumping up and down as she pulls on her the hand that is holding hers!

I love this photograph.
It makes me remember when my mama would let me give my balloon to baby Jesus, which always made me smile as I watched float away!

They had many of the classic Disney details!

 Mickey in Fantasia!

And then Walt Disney walking with Mickey!

Then of course the rides!!!

Discovery Land!

Haunted Mansion !
 Thunder Mountain!

Tower of Terror!!

One thing that I loved about Disney Land Paris is all of the cultures that where in this one place! I saw woman with hijabs on. People in traditional African clothing. I heard different languages English, French, Arabic, Italian, and many many more! That is something I have noticed not only in Disney but all over France. Everyone here seems so much more excepting. Different cultures are celebrated here not judged! If we took the attitude from Disney and France all around the world just imagine how much hate would be replaced with love and respect. Maybe one day we will all realize that being different is a good thing!

And of course I had a few extra things to share!!

I became the blue fairy for a day!
This guy was so funny! I was tryiing to take a photo of Thunder Mountain behind him and he jumped up on the side and posed. I took his photo and laughed as I showed him. He then said, " I thought you would want something good looking in your photo!" I just laughed!
This amazing jazz band!!!

Picture Theme: Graffiti and Street Art!

One of the things I enjoy about living in the 21st centenary is that where ever you look there is art. As I look outside of my window right now I see two buildings, a changing billboard with ads on it, and all of nature in itself is an art form. However, after we see all of this art everyday we become more numb to it every day. If you seek out the art of the world, then you need to look for street art. It represents the people in that community and surrounding culture!

Something I have enjoyed seeing in Paris are the tagged/ painted trucks everywhere!

Two local tags I have seen multiple times!

Also I have seen street art on walls and buildings. It amazed me that if you just looked up from your eye level all the art that is hidden higher.

It saddens me to think about how many people miss these everyday. As I looked up at a piece of artwork last week, I noticed a women about my age look up as well and then just shrugged and walked away. I was shock at how quickly she dismissed the art work.

Then you have the extra things like stickers and art actually on the street!

And my favorite would have to be when you actually see the artist working on something outside!!

I stood there and watched him work for a few minutes. I was amazed by his skill!

The Musee d'Orsay

This had to be one of my favorite field trips we have been on so far. I have always loved Impressionist art! Vincent Van Gogh has been one of favorite painters for years. I went into the museum so excited to see the Van Gogh's. As you walked into the Van Gogh room there are so many bodies in that one room that you can barley turn around without hiting someone. You have the tourist groups holding up their ipads moving from one piece of work to the next. I could barely get a selfie with a piece of artwork without getting pushed or given the evil eye.

This is the best I could do which makes me sad.

The d'Orsay building itself is breathtaking it is a redone train station. You walk in and you can feel the past years of the train station.

The old clock shined like brand new. The roof filled the building with light and warmth.

However, the thing that surprised me the most was how much I loved the pointillism room! I loved the colors the textures and the paintings.

This painting caught my eye across the room. The bright colors is what drew me into the painting. Then the contrasting colors takes your eyes through out the painting.

As you get closer to the painting you can see the texture of the paint. The texture makes you want to reach out and touch the painting. The use of the colors is what is making the painting come together. This painting was done by Henri-Emound Cross. The painting is titled Les Cypres a Cagnes.

Another one of Henri-Emound Cross painting also jumped out at me. This painting was La Fuite des nymphes. It was done in 1906.

You can see that he uses the same technique in this painting as he did the last one I showed. The colors are making the painting. He is not using line to create the image he is using the contrasting colors.

Picture Theme: Transportation!

Before being in Paris, I would wonder how the french traveled around. Where they like Americans and drove every where? Or did they uses buses? Or trains?

Now being there I have seen some of the ways that the french get around!

One of the fastest and easiest ways to get around is through the Metro. You can go anywhere in Paris on the Metro!
Then there are various types of scooters.

 Full of awesome stickers!

This guy was hilarious! Waved me down so I would take his photo!

I thought this was so awesome!! It had a sleeping bunk in the back!

 The very tiny trash truck!

And the best way to get around is Paris is by walking!!
I have never walked as much as I have while being here!
